which means it's going to take maybe 20 instead of 16 because you will almost never, yet, maybe soon, get 75MB/sec sustained.

A 15000rpm U320 drive has trouble with 75MB/sec sustained?
 
They're already available if you're a major tier 1 OEM. Everyone else will probably see them at the end of the year.
