About two years ago when I built my Barton 2500+ system, DDR400 was the shit to get.

Two years later, its STILL the shit to get. Yeah I can buy DDR500 or what not and pray that I get a sweet OC, but why hasnt AMD moved up and required faster ram for its current CPUs? It's still DDR400.
 
AMD processors have no real need for the bandwidth that anything faster provides. They need lower latencies much more.
