Hey guys. Currently, I have a Viewsonic VX2000 that I've had for several years. To me, its pretty great quality. No dead pixels, semi black blacks etc. Unfortunately, its starting to show its age. I didn't think LCDs got burn ins, but after a few years, mine certainly has. I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade to something else now. With all the talk of SED technology and the fact that Vista won't be totally compatable with normal monitors, I'm not sure what to do. If I was to upgrade to something bigger and better, I'd definately want it to be a total upgrade. Something like...

21" or better, preferably widescreen. 1600x1200+
Low response time, I plan to game on this thing
Blackest Blacks, best contrast and color possible.
No lag, no high pitched whines, good chance of no dead pixels.

You see what I'm getting at. If I'm going to spend all this cash, I want something without compromises. Should I look into LCDs like this now, or wait?

The other path I've thought of is to save some money (a lot of money) by buying a smaller LCD. Something 17 or 19 inch, maybe widescreen I'd still like it to have a good response time, contrast and all that, DVI in etc. Would this be a smarter plan? Can anyone suggest some top quality smaller LCDs?
