First of all, i would like to say that i realized how much of a nerd i was when i actually missed hardforum.

Anyway, Does anyone have a clue to when we will be seeing a price drop on the 9800 pro?... anyone have an idea of how much it will drop by?
 
It should drop soon, seeing that the x800 Pro's just hit the market..and it should drop more once the XT version hits the shelves.

And yes, I too missed hardforum very much; I kept checking back daily to see if it was up yet :D
 
I was the one to at least get him to post a message as to whats going on with the forum I missed it too I guess I am a geek thug :p
You should get this card soon I like my 9800pro I think when the prices settle I will get the x800pro probably in 6 months
 
I was in your boat as well, i was planning on buying the 9800XT once the next gen cards came out and the prices dropped (which should probably be fairly significant this summer), but after seing the benchmarks and reviews of the x800 XT Platinum, i think i might just fork over the cash once it finally comes out. I figure it's probably a pretty good long term investiment considering i'm still using my Radeon 8500 from a few years back ;)
