when is the next video card generation?

When do we reach the next video card generation? Anyone know, from what i understand its usually one per year, with a rehash 6 months in, we've already reached that point, ie the X800 and the rehash X850 when you look at ATI, so when is the next generation going to be out? Anyone know?

I read that Nvidia is set with its current SLI setup. I read at least 6 months with Nvidia and you can expect incrimental upgrades from ATI including their version of SLI (AMR or something?)

yeah I had heard that because of that Nvidia wasnt releasing a rehash, but ATI did, as i mentioned before, ATI's next gen should have that AMR/SLI thingy, I'm just wondering when thats going to make an appearance

ATI is releasing the new R5** sometime in june/july (So about 3 or 4 months)

also, with the AMR Chipset, current X800 cards are supported by AMR.

Yeah, it's all just rumor now, though they say ATI has already tapped out the r520 which is definatley good news. Hopefully this generation will be available with lower prices. Or maybe i could then afford a high end card from this gen.
