When is the BF2 1.4 patch coming out??

Im really hoping some time soon, just today i was playing in 5 diff server 5 diff times all of them crashed im really pissed because i had like 60 + in each game.

Hopefully patch 1.4 can fix that (the things that werent broken until 1.3).
 
and hopefully it will support Widescreen too :D

But i dunno when it comes out chek on totalbf2.com
 
EA has stated they do not intend to support widescreen in BF2. Originally EA said mid-July for the 1.4 patch but they have not communicated an update since that speculation. There is no ETA for the patch.
 
I figured since they started modding BF2 to make it BF2142 err I mean... making BF2142, they would stop patching BF2. It would seem like the EA way to do things, right? :D
 
as far i care they can take their sweet as time, as long as they fix more thigns then they brake
 
My sneaking suspicion is that 1.4 is likely going to be the last bf2 patch. their booster packs didn't pan out to generate the kind of revenue they were looking for so it's time to hawk a new title at us.
 
People buy the new title regardless of how polished or not polished it is. As long as people keep buying them, there's no reason for EA to change their business practices anytime soon.

LMAO, funniest thing I read all day.

I bet there be a 1.5 patch but after that they will probably drop support on it. Maybe a 1.6 patch but that definetely be the highest they will go. By the time 1.6 is out, if there is one that is, BF2142 will be out and they will be patching all the bugs that game going to be plagued by.
 
actually 2142 will probly be out shortly after 1.4 is released
 
And with Battlefield 1942 they hade time to do 6 patches and 8 difference updates to DesertCombat :(

Serious? That is the most ridiculous thing ever. A big fucking company like that, not going to support widescreen in a popular game even though they've been having a million people e-mailing them for almost a year now?!? Jesus christ. Terrible company. There's gonna have to be someone to do a reskin hack.

You can hack bf2 to run widescreen. People have been doing it since the game came out. Just the HUD get's stretched.
