Havent been able to keep up lately...when is Intel expected to have a quad core product with a MSRP of under $300? Do we have to wait until the new Core later this year (and probably new motherboard?)
 
I'd say it depends a lot on AMD's ability to counter Intel's current offering. My best guesstimate is Q3 or Q4 this year.
 
I'd venture to say probably the Q6400 will drop close to $300 sometime this fall or winter. Think it's scheduled for a Q3 release with the Q6600 already being at $500 or so.
 
I am sure as soon as 45nm Processors come out (scheduled for Q3-Q4) quad core will be reasonably priced.
