I really need a 2TB external for backup purposes only. I bought a 1TB last yr for about the price of a 2TB this yr and I filled it up pretty quick. I DL a shitton of high def material so I really need it. So far the cheapest I've seen em is $139.99 after MRB, but out the door its around $189.99 with shipping and tax. I should make a note that these drives have eSTATA connection which is a requirement for me since I backup frequently. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea as to when we can expect these high capacity drives to be around or under a 100 bucks out the door.

On super sale/rebates around when 3TB drives become available. In normal pricing when 4TB drives are available.

I picked up a new Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB for $126 shipped after Bing cash back from Newegg a few weeks back. They'll probably be around $119 by Spring and around $99 by Fall next year.
