eh.... maybe about 250.
My system at home probably is on about 40 - 50 hours per month. Its not turned on all the time (not when I'm at school), but its turned on whenever I do work, or play games, or my brother plays games, or when I'm testing or doing maintainance on it. In case you're wondering, I'm posting from my high school, where the PC's are left on all day, so thats about 120 hours a month. My PC doesn't have Internet access (the cable to the phone line to my room won't reach, but I'm working on it

My Mac was going for 9 months at one point. I shut it down when we moved over the summer. Its been off for the past month or so to cut down on the heat in my office.

Completely off-topic, but I read in a magazine the computers can be used to heat a room, and gave temperature increases of the room per bit of hardware... might be handy for those heading into a cold winter, knowing a PC will keep them warm...

Our server room at work is like a Sauna. But its no damned fun in the summer My office at home I turned off the Mac due to the difference in heat I felt in the room, and I didn't want my stupid parrot to get all squirrely on me...now that its cooling down again I'll fire it back up. May decide to look into Water Cooling it next summer....

im guessing, for me its almost hours im not asleep. i have a tabletPC i take all my class notes on, I have a job where all i deal with is students computers in the residince halls. When im not dealing with notes, or students, im at home relaxing surfing the web or doing homework. Yes, i do have a life outside of computers, but a majority of my time is spent around them!

I also don't turn it off unless I need to, such as messing around with another hard drive or redoing some internal work. It's usually better to leave electronics on then turn them off consistently.
