Kind of useless on a 6600GT since its not fats enough to take advantage of those features.

he has a 6600 linked, not a 6600GT

but the 6600 would still be a lot faster than an X600XT

by default the fillrate is already higher, and if he overclocked it you'd get higher gains since it's an 8 pipeline card, the X600XT is 4 pipelines

ATI cards usually overclock much much much better than Nvidia.
 
its not a 6600gt, its a 6600

but i still think the 6600 is better than the x600xt because it overclocks a lot and performs pretty well in the first place

the 8 pipeline 6600 will gain more from overclocking than the 4 pipeline X600 XT

even at default speeds the 6600 has more fillrate, not to mention the better architecture

The x600XT will be lucky to get a 50-60MHz overclock using the stock heatsink. The 6600 generally overclocks 150-250MHz with stock cooling.
