I just ordered my new LCD monitor. I was planning to wait, but I found a good deal at ChiefValue that was 2 good to pass up. I bought a Spectre 19" LCD monitor with 16ms reponse time for $280.00 . Originally, I was going to buy an Acer 19" LCD, but the Spectre had better specs and was cheaper. That price really fits my budget. The LCD will replace the aging 19" HP CRT monitor that I mentioned earlier. When it gets in, I'll let yall know what I think of it. What do you guys think of the monitor?
i replaced my (pos) 19" viewsonic CRT with a 2005FPW about 4ish moths ago. im toying with the idea of getting another 19" CRT though, a better one than i used to have, that would be primarily for gaming. the LCD is great for most things however the widescreen means its causes problems with FT and it cant display games at its native res with good performance usually. i donno. i dont have any money now so itll really depend on what i feel like doing and how much money i eventually get.
I'm typing this whilst peering at the ubiquitous 2001FP. The two other monitors within 15' of me are a 17" CRT and a 17" LCD (both mine, one on an Athon XP rig, one on a Mac G4).
I stare at dual 18" Viewsonic LCD's at work every day.
I'm currently on a pretty nice viewsonic GS790 which is a shortdepth 19 CRT and i've been very pleased with it. But I'm feeling the need for daulies because of programming needs
Using a 5 year old flatscreen Compaq 17" CRT that I'm actually very proud of. However, hopefully this March or summer vacation that'll be replaced by Mitsubishi's 19" CRT that comes with the hood and calibrator (name eludes me at the moment). No desk space for a 22", sadly.
