What's wrong with my Thumbnails?

Only happens with a few video files, the thumbnails appear green and pink. The video plays fine however. Any idea what causes this? Is there a way to fix it?

Do a disk cleanup and clear thumbnails and then go back to the folder to rebuild them.

What kind of video files? (mpg, avi, mkv...?) Could be corrupted thumbnails as chris said, or could be codecs or video drivers. If you installed codec packs, you should get the latest versions, and also try the latest video drivers. (then delete and rebuild the thumbnails as detailed above.)

There AVIs. I tried rebuilding the thumbnails, but didn't work. I have the latest ATI cats installed, I will try updating the codec pack.
