What's wrong with my PSU?

Hi all,

I just fitted a new Hiper 480w Type-R about 2 weeks ago as my last one was crapping out on me. Anyway, all was fine for about a week that is. The last few days my computer has just decided to shut down, usually when i'm booting from Windows into Linux or vice versa or when i'm doing nothing at all. It's only happened about 4 times and it's totally random...

One thing i did notice though, is that the light which is plugged into my SLED header on the mobo stays on. This light is constantly on when the machine is turned on anyway. When the pc shuts down, i can't turn it back on via the switch. I have to flip the switch on the back of the PSU before i can turn it back on. This is what leads me to think the PSU may be faulty or overheating. The temps of my CPU and everything are fine and the voltages reported my mbm seem within a safe range, well that's what the sensors say anyway...

Is there anything i can try to diagnose this? I've tried turning up my case fans in case it's overheating, i'm not even sure the Hiper has a cut out mechanism for overheating anyway...I did add a new HDD at the weekend, 3 in total and the most recent one is running on the Sata Raid port. I wouldn't have thought this has anything to do with it as the PSU should be able to handle whatever i have in there...

Here are my specs
P4 2.8 @ 3.3
Abit IC7-G
Corsair XMS 1GB 3200
ATi Radeon X800 XT
x2 Seagate 120GB Sata (Sata ports 1&2)
x1 Western Digital 80GB (Sata port 3, Sata Raid)
Hercules Fortissimo III Sound Card
Hiper 480 Type-R

The peripherals i have in at the moment are:
Logitech MX518
Saitek Gamers Keyboard
Skype VOIP Phone
Saitek Joystick

I would think a 480w PSU wouldn't have a problem with this setup...Anybody have any ideas?
