Just seven days ago i bought a Gigabyte X800XT PE card, and now its completely screwing up on me. Whenerver i turn on my computer i get garbled output.

Only when i reset does everything return to normal.

Would anyone have any ideas on what could have caused this? My whole computer is new. No overclocks. Specs and screen cap below. the pic is 86kb i hope thats okay.

AMD A64 3500+
1024MB RAM PC-3200
Asus A8V Mobo
2x Maxtor SATA 120Gb
Antec 550w TruePower

thanks heaps!

Does it come back after you reset? Or only at start up? It looks like memory failure/corruption to me.

Sux man. :(

It once i reset, everything is okay again. when you say memory failure/coruption, do you mean the video card's memory? or my system memory?

video card memory

try what slammer said, put that card in another rig and see if still happens

f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-fried!!!! same thing happened to me when i fried my geforce4 ti4600 lmao
ither that or do what the other guy said :D

damn.

i have no other rigs to try it on.

What could have caused it do you know? could it be temps? 45 idle, 80 load?

try safe mode. if all is well, it *could* be a driver problem. uninstall your current drivers and try installing a different driver.

Your video card has decided to lead an alternative lifestyle...

Or it is just broken... RMA time
