I have a friend whos holding up his build on a new pc because he cant get a BFG Geforce 480?? I told him that I had seen some at Newegg but I was wrong. He swears by BFG after he had a bad run on another board maker. Are they not going to offer a 480? Are they jumping ship from Nvidia like XFX did??
 
I heard rumor that they were going red but nothing sense then. I don't know but there are a lot of people having issues getting the newer cards or not wanting to help clean out stock (nvidia is rumored to be selling in lots only)
 
well they did have renders for the box art and gfx card so maybe it just they didn't get first shipment allotted but seeing these are one of nvidia premium partners that shouldn't have happened. you have to wait for the next shipment to see if bfg will sell any cards
 
Bfg needs to cut the cord with nvidia and go exclusive with Ati. They would dominate the market for radeon cards and maybe set an example for xfx (who I believe abuses their customer base).

I concur, Although I wouldnt mind them keeping Nvidia, but it seems like Nvidia is screwing them, because I have seen everyother brand but BFG. They have them on their website, but no etailer is even listing them. So I think they might be going ati soon, I don't see a reason for nvidia to exclude one of their good long partners from first shipments of gtx 470,480.

BFG has the item listed on their web site, but I haven't seen ANYTHING listed anywhere else, not even a coming soon label.

The BFG web store has been off line for days......maybe they're getting ready?

It's just odd that such a good brand would be left out in the cold.
Maybe they are going to sell ATI and that pissed off nvidia?
 
Sorry for my tardy reply, but thanks for the info. I have bought a couple cards from them myself in the past and had good luck. I also cant believe that Nvidia would slight them without a reason.

What do you mean exactly? Right now there are big threads on XFX RMA issues and BFG RMA issues on the forums. Some guys are on their 3rd or 5th BFG RMAs with no success. I honestly don't think there is a single vendor with a perfect track record. Most of people's perceptions are all based on one or two personal accounts or experiences that color their view of a certain brand.
 
alot of those threads are started and being added to by peopel with very little time here i take their complaints with a grain of salt still say many just looken for free upgrades.

BFG should carry both ati and nvidia, i dont think nvidia deserves anyone to dedicate their entire gpu lineup to them, there not the all mighty they think they are.
 
BFG is awesome. Their warranties alone (which come with the cards) are worth buying their cards over other competitors.
 
I'd really like to call out to JeffK the BFG rep who hangs here to give us the ultimate scoop on the GTX 480's arrival at BFG.

BFG has been working out for me since 6600GTs, however recently haven't seen their cards around as much...
 
IT looks like BFG has gone belly up. Either that or they pissed off Nvidia somehow and aren't getting any 470/480 cards from them.
 
My take is BFG decided to sell Ati too so have gone down a peg or two in the nvidia pecking order and hence didn't get any of the early batches of fermi cards, which is fair enough as the nvidia only suppliers really need them to stop themselves going bust.

I suspect BFG will have plenty in the end.
