they are the same card but one is retail and one is oem and what does it mean by no audio cable included? Are they talking about the cable that runs from the sound card to the back of the cd rom?

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewprodu...29-118-101&CMP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=Sound+Cards $36.00 dollars
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewprodu...29-118-102&CMP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=Sound+Cards $55.00 dollars

What is stumping me is the 20 dollar difference? Should I get the 60 dollar one or get the oem? Do I even need that audio cable that isn't included with the oem?

No, you don't need the cable or software in the retail package.
Windows does audio extraction over the ide cable and the software is outdated.
As far as which card to get..... I vote for neither.
