Im lookin at building another Rig and I wondering whats the difference between sata and ide?
Is one of them faster or something?
If one of them is faster by how much?
What other advantages does sata have over ide?

Thanks.

Sata's main advantage is narrower cabling. They obstruct airflow less, and they're easier to route or hide.

Sata drives are also generally cheaper these days; the disks are native sata so they need a bridge to be IDE capable.

Also, sata is hotswap and is easier to manage (no worrying about jumpers).

One has unbreakable cable connections that are often impossible to insert or remove and the other has cable connections that break if you breathe on them, but are child's play to remove or insert. :D
