Whats the difference between a Pixel and a Subpixel?

Hi there!

I´ve just recived my VP930 19". Unfortunely it has some dead pixels. Some of them (I discovered 3 or 4), actually one of them is very noticeable on some colours but the others are really difficult to discover. I use those colour programs to help finding them.

One is green and its right under the "new posts" option on a 1280x1024 configuration.

But the otherone is on a dark blue and its noticeable in some videos, or some colours I make with photoshop. Seems to be a little bit smaller aloso.

Anyway my question is whats the difference between a pixel and a subpixel, and whats the "visual" difference so I can understand what My monitor has.

This monitor is incredible. The blacks are really blacks, and the colours are awesome! The only thing is this pixel problem..

Sorry for my english

sub pixels are the 3 pixels that make up that pixel, sub pixels are red, green, and blue. a pixle is all 3 of those.

at least i think thatss it lol :p
