whats the better card?

[Creamyapples]

there about the same price, 9800xt or x800se?....thinking of going with one of these cards...i know both have 8 pixel pipe lines....best of the two?....id really like to have a eVGA limited edtion 6800 but cant find any at the moment

Go with the 9800XT. Regular X800 would be okay but SE is a POS.

Can't you get a 6600GT? It should outperform a 9800XT and probably still costs less.

Still PCIe format right now.

But if you find an AGP model: Agreed

6800 or 6600 gt apg.

only way to go.

between those two, x800se

[obs]

6600GTs are out. Will destroy both.

^^ How do you know?! I've never even seen a 800se benched?! (never heard of one to be honest ) But the 6600s are PCIe people. There is no AGP model available YET.

SE's always have a chance of being OC'd/unlocked/whatevered to the pro. Go with the SE.

x800SE
8 pipelines
425MHz/450MHz core
800MHz memory
128MB/256MB
256-bit memory interface

Looks like it would beat a 9800xt.

for the price of a x800se, you could buy a 6800gt which is faster.
