The title of the thread says it all, I'm just looking for whatever the best freeware image mounting software out there may be? I figured you all would know this better than google because you've actually tested it, and it isn't biased. Help me out please! :D

Hmm. Never heard of that..

I try that some time soon however Virtual Clone Drive seems to be working fine for the 100s of times I have used it at work and at home.

If you are talking for mounting ISOs in Windows, I use MagicDisc.

Daemon Lite
or
Virtual CloneDrive
i've used both, never had issues with either.
Looking at the web page, that does not appear to be freeware, as the subject of this thread requested. Am I wrong?
you have to pay for daemon tools if you're going to use it for commercial purposes only.

edit: i should add i haven't used daemon tools in about a year, so I dont' know if anything has changed with new versions.

i been using virtual clonedrive.

daemon tools is more powerful but not their lite version which they disabled more advance features and i think hogs a bit more memory.

+1 for Virtual Clone Drive. Free and no BS advertising or bloatware attached. Works perfectly.

Virtual Clone Drive. Was formerly a hardcore Daemon Tools users, but VCD is just plain better. :)

I don't care for Daemon Tools / SPTD. Never once had a faster / higher quality burn after installing sptd, but had problems with burn speed & cd-rom read time on several machines, especially slower ones (P4).

given that the OP wanted to know about ISO mounting software, what does burn quality have to do with anything?

It's kind of annoying that the driver daemon tools installs fucks up your optical drive? If it made my mouse explode, would that be irrelevant and completely unremarkable?
