I got some $$$ to buy a Noritake 800A, but I can't remember the name of the site where they had soem for sale. There was a whole forum setup for them and everything.

i think it was digikey or whatever also sells them, but for like $220 i believe
 
No no. There was a site posted in one my threads from a few weeks ago. It was a site that had a forum where people were selling them. They had all kinds of software and other mods for the 800 and 800A display.

I'd like to stay away from a new, simply because of price, unless I can fidn a cheap one!

This site I am talking about wasn't a store where you could buy them, but had a forum for FS/FT.

The site I am thinking of didn't deal specifically with that display. It was another modding website that has forums like these, but they had a huge FS/FT forum with tons of 800's and 800A's for sale.
 
Bit-tech is probably the most prominent forum in the area of VFDs for computers...
