Now that Capcom released a bunch of collections and remakes, what will be next for Mega Man? The X/Zero saga ended with MMZ 4 with the ending being something along the lines of "humans and reploids lived happily ever after".

Maybe they can fill in some plot holes with what happened to the original Mega Man.(Evil Zero probably killed him but you never know). Or create an alternate universe.

Hard to make something new after the series has been running for almost 20 years though... :(

This (and the DS in Japan) is as close as you're getting to a "next step" for Megaman?

http://www.jeux-france.com/articles_dossiers247_interview-megaman.html

In a recent interview with Jeux-France, Assistant Producer Takeshi Horinouchi and Planner of Production Tsukasa Takenaka from Capcom, who served as the producer and director respectively on Megaman Battle Network 5: Double Team for the Nintendo DS, were asked questions regarding the Megaman series, as well as their thoughts on Nintendo's next-generation console, code-named Revolution. Below is a translated piece of the interview.

J-F: What do you think of the Nintendo Revolution? You had the chance to test it at Nintendo, do you think that a Megaman game can function with the concept of Revolution?

Takeshi Horinouchi: I indeed had the chance to quickly test Revolution, and I must say that it is interesting to note the evolution in this field. The perception of the video game is completely new. Concerning Megaman, we do not know yet what the future holds for us, but I would very much like to use the concept of Nintendo Revolution to see what a Megaman game could be on this console.

No official Megaman game announcements have been made as of yet for Revolution.

I think I'm like the only person on Earth that wants another Legends game.

2 sucked but the original was a cult classic. I loved it and still do.
*goes to play it*

How about a MegaMan FPS.. You can use the Revolution Controller to control your arm cannon. Call it MegaMan Prime :D

That is either the best or worst idea ever. :D

So is there any more info on Mega Man ZX? Anyone know the plot/ when it takes place?

They need to make a Mega Man All Stars for the classic series. This is what they need to do. This is not like the Mega Man Collection.

They need to have all 80 (or whatever number) Bosses from mega man 1 - 8 on the screen at one time. And you can pick any of them... at any time.
For Example... Lets start the game, beat metal man first, then fight against astroman, then maybe use astro crush to beat dive man.... etc...

And it needs to be a high quality 2d Side scroller with all new sprites and graphics for everything. For the WIN.

Immigane fighting Dr. Wiley with 80 weapons to choose from <3

Also, They need a all Female Mega Man Series. Not like, Mega Woman (boo) but like... I guess there is this girl Elle? She is the "new" female mega man character?

She needs to be the main character, and you have to fight 8 female robot bosses. <3

It would be hot

I Heart Mega Man
