• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
    Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

in xp pro, when i go press crtl-alt-del and go to task list .. task manager comes up and goes away. and the same happens with msconfig. can someone please help me . thanks

Sounds like the registry has been set to disable system tools. My guess is that you won't be able to get into regedit either. There's a VB scribpt somewhere that will fix this for you. Also, you should be able to download and use Xteq XSetup to fix this issue. I think the key you'll be looking for is disable registry. The actual key is: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000001

dword should be set to 0.

Forgot to mention to do a full virus scan and spyware scan; probably a virus caused this.

nah i cant open regedit.. and i will look for the tools you are talking about, thanks

That would be correct. You'll have to either do it outside of the windows environment (pain) or use something that can modify the registry without opening it (i.e. VB script or program listed above). I've got one that MIGHT work if you need it.
