what's difference between hub and switch?

damnit, they've got too many of those faq's, i can't read them all :/
 
A switch is faster... It has 100Mbit dedicated per port, where a Hub shares 100Mbit over all the ports on the hub. Switches remember what PCs are connected to it's ports -- making it faster for it to "route" the packet(s) to the receiver.
