Actaully the question is more of, what are the differences between SCSI and SATA?

My gaming rig is SATA but I just got an old P2 Workstation that has SCSI drives and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with it.

I'm thinking a retro box of some sort but I'm wondering if the SCSI drives may be better off in another project?
 
Given the phrase "an old P2 Workstation", I'm going to assume that these are slightly older SCSI models. If this is indeed the case, SATA drives should be significantly faster than the SCSI drives. As for differences between the two... There's a ton. Google'd be of more help to you here than I would.

Old SCSI drives are normally slower than modern IDE drives, which are slower than modern SATA drives, which are slower than modern SCSI or SAS drives.

Depends on what it would be serving up. Modern games, arent going to happen but depending on the other system specs it may be plenty for files or a webserver.
 
I've decided to put Win 2k on it and use it as a Retro Box. I'm still having issues when it comes to sound for Dark Forces and Full Throttle as its got an Awe64 installed in it but I'm sure there is some kind of program I can get to allow the sound to work.

Once I get it up and running since its only got 4 gigs of HDD space tomorrow I'm going to put in a few more HDDs.

Then I'm going to get to work on modding the case.

I've also got a P3 (slot type) that I'm going to try and use in it as well as some of the memory out of the P3 case. This Kayak case is pretyt nice. Needs paint and a few other things but it'll turn into a nice retro box.
