What's acceptable BLB?

I was wondering what do you guys consider acceptable BLB? None? Very little? Some?

I ask this because my new X34 has a bit of BLB and I think I want to exchange it for another to see if there is a difference.

None to very little but depends the screen. Some have wide variations so before u return figure out if u got a bad model or average.

I don't think i've ever owned a screen that had none. But, little to none is preferred.

I would assume a $1200 monitor would have none. So I'd be unhappy with it personally.

Yea, from what I've seen they all have some BLB problems. I'm gonna go exchange it after work and see if there's a big differnce. Hopefully I will get one with little to none, and if not I'll just return it and wait a little for the asus offering,

I'm looking mainly for uniformity. Backlight bleed kills this.

sorry for my terrible camera, but here is my asus pb278q that has just enough on the fence about keeping it. only cost 399....

At least no more than the Swift I currently carry, which made my second monitor decision quite difficult, as IPS glow often makes the blacks worse than on Swift, which I find unacceptable, unfortunately from what I can see, that is the norm.

BL3201PT, XB271HU and U2412M are the only IPS monitors that I have seen with acceptable IPS glow compared to the BLB on my Swift, I also saw X34 but I didn't look very closely, I wasn't interested in Ultra-wide resolution at all. However, even with BL3201PT I can still notice the milky white glow amongst dark background.

3201 would most likely be my last monitor purchase until OLED monitors become available. IPS glow is something I no longer want to tolerate on any level for my next purchase.

Depends on if you are are going to watch movies on the screen. I do not. I have a TV for that. When gaming you're not going to notice that BLB. You're not going to notice it on your desktop either.

I'd say what you pictured would be acceptable to me. I'd be more concerned about stuck/dead pixels.
