I am looking for a card that will support A/V (RCA) jack inputs from video cameras, and hopefully will support firewire as well...any thoughts? I am not even sure what these things are called...

Uhh... ur camera doesn't have a firewire port?! Doing it through RCA's is just asking for a REAL shitty video! :p

If your vidcam are older and doesn't have firewire then it has to use composit video, or better, an S-Video.
To do analogue capturing you need a VIVO card, either buy a vidcard that has this feature or you can get a dedicated video capture card (which are usually a tv tuner aswell). A very good brand would be Hauppauge. Other brand: AverMedia, Leadtec, etc.
Vidcard that does everything, ATI All In Wonder.
Google around.
