Whatever happened to the AMD QMD..

I seem to remember about 2 months ago, people with AMDs were getting MASSIVE WUs, about 1200 pointers if I recall correctly. Were those beta units? What were the settings required to get them, and are they still getting them?

AMD's are not ment to get QMD's as they are not optermized for them.
The release of them for AMD's & P3's was a mistake on Stanford part when an asignment server was overloaded.

Your thinking of the DGromacs.
They are still out there.
At the moment I'm running at 5/14 DGromacs, 5/14 Ambers & 4/14 Big Gromac.

I've noticed the quantity of the GB and DGromacs have dropped off quite a bit here though. My main rig hasn't been getting any of those lately, but there's been a resurgence in the number of Tinkers.

So who all read about modifying the client with a hex editor to allow QMD's on AMD's? Not that this is a good thing, I just missed the thread over at the official forums.
