What wrong with my 9700 Pro???

For the past few months I have been gradually getting more and more errors with my 9700 pro card. My old setup was an athlon 1700+xp on an A7V333 rev1 board and when playing several different games the graphics would distort and then the computer would either freeze or restart. This was with the Det 3.8 and 3.9s. These errors only happened on occasion so I just restarted when it did and dealt with it. Well in January I got a Soyo Dragon 400 Ultra and a 2800 barton chip. After installing the card with the new setup the freezes seem to happen more frequently and I also starting getting resets while just sitting at the desktop. I tried all the dets 3.7-4.10 and always the same thing occurred. Keep in mind that these problems have arisen in two different setups(both of which were in separate cases with separate PSUs, one a antec 350, the other a antec true power 380). Also I have a geforce 4 mx 440 card I use for backup and it runs the same game with zero errors in the same system. So is my 9700 pro just dying or what? Im all up for getting a replacement card, but I’m scared of buying a new video card and it actually being another issue instead, and I don’t want to deal with RMAing a card back to new egg. Any help would be appreciated I’ve been dealing with this problem for over a month now and I’m tired of playing games with a 440 mc card.

see my "avoid hercules like the plague" post, my card is exhibiting the same problems your card has.
