What would you do? (new hardware)

Here's the deal. I'm currently running a 2.4B on a Asus p4b533-E motherboard and 2 sticks of Kingston ddr333 valueram.

I'm building a computer for a friend and I have the option of getting them a P4P800 motherboard and a 2.8C. I could them swap their motherboard for mine. I would pay em like 30-50 bucks for the price difference.

Is it worth the effort? Will the ddr333 be enough for a 800 mhz p4? I'm currently running it at 187 mhz which is the highest i've been able to get it without getting memtest errors in this current setup.

I don't want to buy new ram. The only option at new ram i would have would be ordering some value ram that is rated at 3200 with the same order and then swap it with one of my 333.

Also, i don't think my ddr333 chips are matched, so would that be a problem in dual channel?

The RAM should work fine with the newer cpu and motherboard, but you might need to underclock the cpu a bit. 187 is over 93% of 200.

How about using cpu mem ratios to overclock the cpu while leaving the mem at its max ability?

well that's an option... I've never tried that tho so I don't know how big impact it has on performance...
