hey guys i order that 32" lcd from newegg and it was broke. i got a refund but am trying to decied if i should buy another one or is there a better option. i usally play a lot of video games and browse the internet. what would you do with about $1200 in aspect of a monitor, is there a better route? thanx

Hehe he...alot of folks here will tell you the Dell 2405 or the Apple Cinema 30"

To the left, the Dell 2005, the right the 2405 and bellow, the Cinema 30"

Buy a Dell 2405 which if you wanna price haggle and use coupons, you can get for $700-800 online. Then you gotta chunk of change for something else :D

Actually, what do you WANT the screen to be doing? HDTV? These monitors arn't for you then? Gaming and PC usage? Awesome monitors. A little bit of both? The 2405 will do a decent job with HDTV feed but its not designed for it. The models next year will though.
 
im purely looking to watch tv,dvd's,some bf2 and oblivion when it come out. so is the dell a bad idea then?

You may wanna wait until the HDTV compliant LCD"s come out from Dell or just buy a HDTV for your regular viewing pleasure and stick with you got for your computer.
 
thanx for your help, with that dell montior you showed me, is there anything really special about it, or are u paying more for the usb ports and such.thanx a lot for your help bud

Depends on personal needs, the USB and card ports arn't usefull to me, but the amount of inputs is very nice for multiple hookups. PLus its just 24" of widescreen goodness for a VERY good price that does a very good job in almost all aspects. It may not be the BEST but its pretty much the best value you could buy for a widescreen LCD at this point in time. I got my $650 :D
