What would cause an LCD to do this?

Ive got a Gateway FPD1530 15" LCD. When you first power it on, it works great, but after 10 minutes or so it starts to act really wierd. All sorts of lines come on the screen and the color fades in and out and changes shades... What is the problem and can it be fixed inexpensively?

Yes... get an RMA on it.

Its way past RMA stage. I was wondering what part would go bad to display these symptoms and if i can fix it?

Oh, sorry I didn't understand your post. I thought it was still covered under the warranty.
