Has anyone considered using a 2.5" HDD in there case? Is that a good idea?
I'm just trying to fit a 2 HDDS in my computer, and a way I thought of is using one of the SSD slots with a 2.5" HDD.
Any good performing ones?
edit: I just saw that the Silverstone PSU only has 3 Sata cables. So if I have 3 storage drives.......there is nothing left for an optical drive. Crap.......
You can use a Molex to SATA adapter.
You can use a 2.5" hard drive. They are not as fast as 3.5" drives (no matter what the specs are) but they are smaller, use less power and give off less heat.
The WD Black 2.5 drives are pretty good. You can also consider one of the hybrid drives with ssd cache (Seagate has one and I think WD just came out with one) or set up your own cache with an ssd.
