And also I am amazed to see people grab so many cards at one time. How do you maintain more than 2 pcs is beyond me! I can work with 2 at MOST!

It specifically states, what card to you have in posession right NOW that you use for GAMING. That means list your primary gaming card. Not "i have a x800xtpe on the way, but right now I use a 9800pro, and I have 18 ti4200's in my other comptuers"

I have a few crap cards laying around too... and my x800xtpe is ordered. But I voted my 9800pro because that is what I have RIGHT NOW.

How about excercising a little dicipline?

Happy to be using 6 year old equipment in the form of 2 Voodoo2s in SLI configuration, and a 10 year old card, the ATI Mach 64-GX. It is only within the past 6 months or so that I have had a real problem, as there are more games which REQUIRE a T&L engine. I really need to get my hands on a cheap GeForce 2 GTS though…if you’ve got a spare hanging around, send me a PM.

The explaination about listing only the primary gaming card came later (see the edit, first post). Before then it was a bit ambiguous as to what was being requested. Not that it changes my vote, as I currently game on both my new x800pro (yes brag brag brag )and my 5900nu about equally.

One more thing is that if you have a card coming on the way and ofcourse it will be your primary card for gaming please chose the highest option possible. For example if you have a Radeon 9800 Pro and have an X800 series card on the way and will use THAT for primary gaming (duh!) then chose the X800 series option.

Why dont you consider the following points
1. Its a poll, and people love polls and impulsively vote
2. He failed to put the Gaming part in the title
3. He provided categories that covered multiples or unlisted and asked for those to be specified
4. When the poll pops up, your able to vote, but the conditions arent visible you have to scroll down to read the additional "rules"
5. Until he changed those to a larger typeface and Bold they where really buried
6. You cant thwart human nature

Ideally he will still be able to compile useable information
by cross referencing the posts to the votes
and next time design the poll a little differently to yield better results

and the vote I cast
then I started reading other peoples and discovered the "rules"
then I edited

somehow I doubt I was unique in my experience
blaming the forum at wide for this is unreasonable

lets see i have a crappy tnt 2 32mb card in 1 700mhz. Geforce 2 GTS 32mb in the 2.4ghz and 9000 ati mobile in my 2.4ghz laptop ....but i ordered my x800 pro so ill be happy even it is not my 6800 gt i wanted heh
