What Video Card do you recommend?

Oh, and the OC does mean over clocked. It is a slight OC over "stock" which has become quite popular. The "afternmarket thing" is talking about the cooler (heat sink /fan) on the 8800 GT. It is very poor. MSI sells a 8800 GT with a non-refrence cooler on it. MSI only has a 1 year warranty on it's cards vs 3 years from BFG or EVGA. (Again, the EVGA card you showed is an old G80 chip. Do not buy a 8800GTS unless it is 512MB. The 640 and 320 are much much slower cards despite having the same name.)

No problem. Im waiting on a few posts before i make a move :)
Ah I see. I wouldve fallen for that. As it has more MBs and 320bits. As opposed to the other one with is less MB and 256bits.

So the other one. Unless one of these other cards are better....
Whats the deal with this card? Gigabyte GeForce 8800GTS 650MHZ 512MB 1.94GHZ DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Retail Video Card

Nuby posted that one. The 1.94ghz intrigues me. Is that the clock speed? The prices are all similar so I will happily grab the best one if thats the case.

Ok thanks.
The aftermarket cooler was on the Gigabyte card link he posted on page 2. Seems to have a clock speed of 1.94ghz too. So if its better than the other GTS 512 from newegg, then ill get that one. Otherwise, its the newegg one.

No, that's the RAM speed, at the DDR rate, as most of them are advertised.

The 640GB 8800 GTS is older (G80 based) and slower (96 SPs vs 128 SPs, lower core clocks) than the 8800 GTS 512MB (G92 based). Do not get the 640MB 8800 GTS.

Just get the cheapest 8800 GTS 512MB you can find. None of the factory OCed cards are OCed so much you couldn't easily do the same thing in a couple of minutes with RivaTuner yourself. No reason to pay extra for it.

The 1.94Ghz is the memory speed. It is the same between both cards listed. You might look at this card... <Removed> I made a mistake and grabbed at GT by mistake. Please forgive me >.<

Incorrect in some cases.

MSI - 1 year warranty extended to 3 years if you register in first 30 days. No warranty on OCing, no warranty on replacing the cooler
Gigabyte - 3 year warranty. No warranty on OCing, no warranty on replacing the cooler
XFX - double lifetime warranty transferable to the card's second owner (must register within 30 days of purchase). Warranties OCing and replacing cooling.
EVGA - lifetime warranty for first owner only, must register within 30 days of purchase. Warranties OCing and replacing cooler. Has the Step Up program to trade old card in on a new card within 90 days of purchase.
BFG - lifetime warranty for first owner only, must register within 30 days of purchase, does not warranty OCing or replacing cooler, has a Step Up like program, 100 days instead of 90.

Personal order of preference:
XFX, EVGA, Gigabyte, BFG, MSI
