What type of defect is this

Hello, I want to identify the type of defect that this is.
The monitor is Dell P2414H, IPS LED
At first it looks like a dead pixel, but upon close inspection it looks like it just has reduced brightness:

Is it worth trying to fix it with software, or is it hopeless ?

Looks like the antiglare matte or gloss coating is uneven

It appeared today though, it wasn't there when I purchased it 6 months ago.

It could of lifted off the surface warped not totally sure.
You could try cleaning it but I'm sure you did that.

That's the first thing I did.
It is really weird, the pixel seems to be working but it appears as dead due to extremely reduced brightness.

It appears that the dark area covers a bit more than 1 pixel, does anyone has any idea what is going on ?

Looks like a half-dead pixel or possibly a piece of dust behind your screen that you won't be able to get out. Does the dark spot move if you tilt your head and look at it from different angles? If so that's dust.

I think it moves.
How did it get there and what can I do about it ?

Is it possible such a thing to be removed when you open the LCD panel and whipe it with cloth or it's sealed in the matrix?

How can I clean these ? I'm afraid that if I open it, more dust will get in...
