2400xp
msi k7n2 delta L
geforce 4 ti 4400
onboard sound
768 ddr 3200 ram
80gig wd se hd

i was playing ut2k4 and getting 15 fps on a 32player server earlier

9800 pro. but you may want to wait until the end of the month for the new cards from ati and nvidia.

Right now, on newegg.com, a powercolor Radeon 9700 pro is only like 150 bucks. If you wait just a few more weeks, WOOWEE they are going to be cheap.

(woowee = my southern voice making a hick noise)

Definitely wait until the new generation cards come out and then you can decide on what you want to get.

Yeah, video card is your best option for upgrading right now. What kind of a budget are you on? I recently bought a 9600XT and for 150 bucks its a sure hit. My cousin has a 9700 pro and mine is either on par or better at some times. If you want to stick with nVidia, 5900 or better is the only way to fly. any less than that and it will be just a waste of money for you.

well, 150 or so is my limit. the 9600xt was the one i was thinking of getting. i just wanna make sure i order one from newegg that has the hl2 coupon.

what kind of performance increase would i be getting?
