i have a little bit of money...around $50 to spend, i also will hopefully be getting $50 in paypal soon. i was wondering what i should upgrade, im pretty sure specs are in the sig. i dont think i need another 512mb of memory. would trading my 9600np and some cash for a pro or xt? ive been using my winfast tv card a little bit to record family guy, i would trade it if i had to.

any good upgrades i could do for cheap?

you're running a shuttle right? does that mean you can't just buy cooling for the radeon and o/c it yourself?

save ur $100 for now, wait till new hardware comes out so the good stuff gets cheaper

Holy (^(&*. I am poor and as a reply i'd say, you dont need to upgrade it! I cant even aford a 25 dollar heat sink for my cpu, since its running at around 52 degrees. I was thinking of buying the slk 700 with a tmd fan.

u could possibly return the monitor and buy a bigger and better one for an extra $100. you could also buy a nice pair of headphones. i use the logitech z560s or whatever the name, and i choose to listen to music and games usin my sony MDR-V700s headphones 90% of the time, u could prolly pick em up for $100 on ebay.

eh, my desk can only hold a 17" monitor, so im sticking with this one. and i love it :D. for the person who asked, no im not running a shuttle, im using a shuttle micro-atx motherboard. i would overclock my radeon if i had any knowledge on it. anyone have good links?

i was really looking forward to overclocking the barton, but i was disappointed when i realized that raising the fsb by anything, even 1mhz, will prevent the machine from booting. wtf?! crazy micro-atx motherboards.

ive recently been thinking of a low-end mp3 player...i usually burn cds, a lot of them, and having to get blank cds is annoying me. can i get a decent mp3 player that will hold say 2 cds or 20-25 songs for around $50-$70?

What about getting a new motherboard? Sell that old one and save the money alongside the leftover money that you still have after the motherboard purchase.

Then once all of the new hardware comes in, almost all if not all of the good stuff that are out now will drop its price like crazy. Exactly what ST|FFY said. Until then, you can mess around and OC your setup.

Alex

O yeah, to tell you the truth, your setup right now looks pretty good, other than the Motherboard that is.

The Motherboard would go good with an AMD 1700+ but for that beast 2500+ you need a better Mobo that will show the reason why people purchase a 2500+, to OC.
