I'm cheap, but i demand good graphics....
I know, I know ...go desktop...not an option.
I will be running WoW mostly, but want my comp able to do a bit more..
With the coupons dell offers I just havent been able to find anything better ..I've looked...

Ibuypower, ABS, Vigorgaming, Biohazard, Alienware, RocketDirect, Falcon, Rawpower, Voodoo, Cyberpowerpc, toshiba, hp, and prob a few others.

I have been looking hard at Dell. Inspiron 9400/Dell Inspiron E1705.
I've read a lot about the 1705's on these forums but not much on the 9400...why?
My price range is under 1700.

Inspiron 9400:
Intel® Core™ Duo Proc T2400 (1.83GHz/667MHz/2 X 1MB L2 Cache)

80GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 Internal Wireless and Bluetooth
Grand total: $2,060.00+ Dell coupon = under 1700

Inspiron E1705:

Grand total: $2,049.00 + Dell coupon = under 1700

Just about the same cept had to sacrifice xp pro on the 1705 to keep price down, because to upgrade windows through dell is pricely..

Which one would you choose?
How do Hp's stack up to dell's?

What am I missing with the Insipron 9400? Why don't I see it talked about on here. Same chipset ..lil cheaper..Maybe I'm missing something here?

can anyone tell me what makes these two seperate machines? other then the name..

to answer my own question. They are the same computer. I decided on the 9400 because you get more for your buck, ie. software. ill upgrade from the duo t2400 to the t2500 and still keep it under my budget.

I have bought a handfull of desktops from dell and have been satisfied with each system. The tech support was unbareable for a couple of years and really inspired me to learn more about wtf i was doing when it came to computers... This is my first laptop, so i hope i am not dissapointed. Thanks for listening to me talk to myself..and if anyone has any comments on this system plz post them.
