I am building my HTPC and the case I have (for free) is the LC18. It has a built in touch screen LCD on it and I am wondering what to do with it. Are there any programs around that can utilize it or is the best option I am going to have is to just clone the tv screen onto this lcd?

you could make a piece of machined aluminum to put over it. 
really though it is a second display at a much lower resolution (800 x 480)
so I don't think cloning the screen will be an option
you can have your media app display on the tv and then use the lcd for other stuff.
really in my mind it is useless, not like you want to get up and mess with it every time you need to make a change.
