Hello,
I just finished building a Skylake i5 Gaming system with the following specs:
CPU: Intel i5-6600k
MoBo: GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7
Memory: 16GB DDR4
HD: Samsung Pro 950 256GB NVME M.2 SSD
Video: GTX 970
I upgraded from a previous machine so I have the following spare SSD's:
2x Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
1x Samsung 850 Pro 128GB
I currently am using the two 250GB for Games. What I'm not sure about is how to best utilize the three drives.
Options:
1. I have a spare Stablebit Drivepool License. I can install it and combine the three SSD's into a single pool
2. Use Windows RAID to combine the two 250GB, use the 128GB for a few specific games
3. Retire the existing SSD's to VM use on a server and buy a 500GB or 1TB 850 EVO
I primarily play Diablo 3 and Steam games.
Thoughts or Opinions on what I should go with?
