Hi, I recently upgraded my Crucial C300 64GB ssd since I was running out of space on it. I now have a OCZ Agility 4 256GB that I bought for the same price as the C300... lol, actually a little cheaper. :) I installed Windows 7 64 bit to the Agility and now I'm wondering what I should do with the C300, I still have 3 open sata 3 ports on my Asrock z68 extreme 4 motherboard. Should I use the C300 for the pagefile for windows? Maybe the firefox cache? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Matt

I would use/sell it as a ZIL/L2 ARC Cache for ZFS....

Really it's so small I would just donate it to a needy friend or family member like the person above me said. Get them hooked on SSDs and they will want to buy a bigger one. :D

Make it a temp/swap/scratch disk.

This or do what I did and throw it in an aging laptop. 64 gig ssd in my old HP made it more than usable again. I barely used any of the real estate in the old slow 250GB spinner as it was. I started using it for school and it saved me from buying a whole new laptop.

Do what I do with my small SSD, boot windows from it, and use your big one for everything else.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I think I'm just going to give it to my brother for Christmas. He doesn't have a ssd in his desktop. I know after using it he will want a bigger one like blue falcon said... haha.

Excellent! You'll be the brother ever... for awhile, anyway. :)
