I just recently moved 2 of my 4 computers along with cable modem and switch to the basement to try and reduce the amount of heat in my room. It helped a bit but the 2 machines I have left still generate a good amount of heat and if I close my door within a half hour my room could be about 10 degrees hotter then right outside my door. Anyone have any solutions for venting out the excess heat? I have central air so I can't just turn the AC down all the way.

Switch to LCD's if you have the $$$. CRT's give off ALOT of heat. You could also get a GOOD floorfan. Circulates air pretty good....

aye you didnt read my location carefully. Right now im home on long island. If I opened my window it would bt like 100x hotter then it is now in my room. Up at school it doesnt even matter that i have my computer running , its so damn hot in the dorms anyways.

cutaholeinyourwindow ;)

and duct teh heat out, have a duct-tape cover for the hole, so when your comps are off you can close your window still :p

Get a window air conditioner. It'll jack your electric bill way up but it'll make it nice and cool in there.
