Im in need of some help!

Hi all im new here and was hoping sombody could help me.
I have been asked to buy a gaming pc for my boss with a budget of around £1500-2000 uk pounds not including monitor. He has all periphials (spelt wrong im sure) keyboard mouse etc. I have been lookin around and I am not sure what way to go, there are so many reviews and benchmarks that contradict each other.

This is the basic struggle im having
Amd 64bit v Pentium mobo with 16x pci exp. & ddrII

can someone just tell me what is the best way to go please.

I know the ati and nvidia are pretty much on par atm but would like ur opinions on that too. Maybe you could price me a list of what you would buy thanks.
