What... The heck...

that's pretty slick actually

ugly, but slick

doesn't zalmans have one similar coming out soon?

Lol...that actually looks pretty interesting. :p I'm usually suspicious of blingy hardware (yeah, I'm lookin at you thermaltake) because it usually doesn't perform up to the level of the looks. Coolermaster used to be a staid company that made high-end aluminum cases that were second to none...looks like they've fallen into the same korean/Taiwanese anime bling bling, transformer, mechwarrior trap as many other companies in that part of the world. ;)

I actually think it looks pretty sweet. I'm more interested in how it would fit near video cards and memory slots, whether it would restrict easy access to upgrades, and how well that heatsink/pipe design moves energy. Definitely a new idea.

Not that I've ever been a coolermaster lover. First OCing fan I ever bought, only because it was on sale at the local computer shop and I didn't know much about heat conduction

LOL, that is one funny looking cooler. its shape is like a alien's head and the blue glow from the fan makes it more so.

so far as explaining it goes: i'm seeing a zalman sandwich.

think of it as one zalman 7000 cooler directly cooling the proc, and a second cooling some heatpipes attached to the proc. the fan most likely blows towards the motherboard, to get the most out of the heatpipes up top. no reason that it shouldn't work so some degree.

aluminium instead of copper, of course, but that seems like the design concept in a nutshell.
