What temps should I expect with this setup?

Hey guys, I just finished a new watercooling loop and I am unsure if I have a good mount on my processor. It will be quite a hassle to remount for no gain. My setup is

e6600 with 1.45v under Apogee GT
x1900xtx under Maze 4 OCed but no voltage bump
PA120.3 with three yates mounted externally but in 85*F room temp.
DDC with Petra top

Basically I am running into problems with my temps. I am idling at around 40*C. I am unsure of what performace I should expect as I made the switch from air to water at the same time my room temps went up 20 degrees.

Hmm.. you're at the far end of what is considered normal idling temps. The largest delta between idle water and air I'd tolerate is 10C. With a 30C ambient and a 40C idle, you're right on that line. I'd consider remounting multiple times (at least 2 while re-doing TIM each time) to get a baseline first.

I idle around 39c in a room at 85f... Drop that to 68 and I'm idling around 32.

That's fairly normal for such a high room temperature.

What kind of system do you have?

Also, It's not like I have never mounted a WB before... I have remounted my old storm many times, I've mounted everything under the sun, so I feel pretty confident in my once and done mounting technique. It is just the move to extremely high indoor temps that is throwing me for a loop.

i am idling at 50 degree c and loaded at 60-65 degree c with 1.55v and i been running this rig for the past month for folding and it still have not die yet :D btw, my ambient temp is around 22 degree c.

No matter how many times I've mounted waterblocks myself, I will always do 3 remounts w/ the accompanying TAT/orthos to establish a base line for my temps. Sometimes its a small air pocket with the TIM, sometimes one side is lopsided, but anomalies will occur. Might as well eliminate the mount as a possible reason.
