what temperature?

ok i just build my system and installed PC Probe 2 from my Asus cd...and its giving me temperature readings of my CPU and MB. This is all new to me so what is a good, stable temperature for those? Right now there both 84 degrees F.

Basically what temperature should I be looking for?

it says that it's 212 °F right now...is that okay or do I need to cool it down some more?

84F (29C) is good.
212F (100C) is a system-killer!

Generally, for an AMD system with decent CPU cooler and decent case ventilation:
- CPU-idle 30C to 32C; Case 30C to 32C.
- CPU-maxed 50C; Case 35C.

If the Asus PC Probe 2 is functioning properly, you have serious problems - such as your fans not spinning, or no case ventilation at all.
