What speaker wire?

i just ordered some x-ls 2 days ago and today im goin to order a xr-55 receiver and a subwoofer. (this sub that was recommended by someone on here...http://www.angelfire.com/biz/bizzyb/SUBPICS.html)

so what guage speaker wire should i go for. and im getting recveiver from http://www.jr.com/ so it would be nice to order it from there. id say id need 50ft at the most.

I agree, as low a number gauge will fit on speaker terminals. Don't fall for the Monster Cable line of "oxygen-free, high quality." That stuff is WAY overpriced and overrated.

Paul has a better deal imo. If I did not already have good cables I would get those. Simple and cheap for what they are. All you need is good copper and the silver is a nice way of making a good connection without having those frizzy copper strands at the ends lol.

Oh yeah BJC is used by most all recording studios too. They have almost every cable you could ever need for audio or video.

Monoprice.com is also an excellent place to go for cheap wire. They've got a whole bunch of cheap speaker wire choices. Other other thing to consider is ends. You may want some nicer ends on the cable just to make it look nicer and to be easier to plug/unplug. I personally use the Bluejeans stuff with their locking banana ends. Kinda pricey but looks real nice when done and hooks snugly to my gear.
