I don't know what wattage psu I need.I want to get a corsair psu since they are 80% and they aren't to expensive.
5000+ proc
ga m57 sli mobo
wd 320 hd
antec 900 case
4gigs corsair ddr 2 800 ram
lite on blu ray drive
samsung 20x dvd burner
15 n 1 card reader
either 2 evga 9600gt's or 1 9800gtx

What size psu do you think I will need

man I did it and it only comes up to 421 watts with sli 9800gtxs.
I don't trust that thing at all.

That number sounds about right; people usually go way overboard on PSU's but it's nice to have room for upgrades and to not have the PSU at max load. Your best bet would probably be a PC P&C Silencer 750 for the price/performance

so a corsair 650tx will be ok then.it is only $100 and fits my budget nicely.
DOes anyone have any suggestions on a mid tower case besides the antec 900 for under $100?The lower the better.

Tried the CM RC690? Great case for a really cheap price. Basically any corsair or enermax, seasonic etc will do as long as the 12V amperage is above 18 IMO. A 500W should suffice so yeah the 650 would be great.

what model was it there are two of them on the egg.
one is $85 the other is $139

The cheaper one doesn't come with a power supply. If you're buying a corsair you don't need one. I'm pretty sure the 8800GTX fits.

A Coolermaster RC-590 or 690 is a good alternative to the 900, with better cooling and considerably less ugly.

The Corsair TX 750 is $88something AR at Provantage.com right now, or yes, the 620HX will be enough if you'd prefer modular.

You can check out the dedicated RC 690 thread someone in there may have a 9800GTX in the case. I'm pretty sure it'll fit anything though. Modular PSU's are awesome by the way. Loving my Enermax.
