What should I upgrade to?

I currently have a Dell 2001fp at 1600x1200. I am going to buy a new system upon the Conroe launch, and wondering what the best bet for a new display is. I am torn between the Dell 24" model at 1920x1200 and the 30" model at 2560xwhatever is is.

I don't game at all, so that is no concern, and I am planning on buying an ATI x1600 dual link card, so it will support either. I value my desktop room, the more the better. But I am wondering, does the 30" provide enough for the price premium ? I am sort of leaning that way, just because I have seen the Apple 30" in action and I love it, and I want the best (I can't nearly afford the crazy IBM display so don't suggest that) but what do you recommend?

What do you use it for? HDTV or CAD design or something else? If your work need a big screen like 30", then prolly you could choose that. But the 24" is quite suitable for me since on 30" gaming will need more money on other specs.

if you can afford it, go for the 30" widescreen! that would be sweet.
